Testimonials

She works at the intersection of music and cognition, using rhythm, breathing, multiple song arrangements, and so much more to draw out musical joy and stimulate cognition. She is open to discovery and learned three language traditions of music that relate to my wife (who has Alzheimer’s) and her multi-cultural background. She is extraordinarily talented and committed to her clients and their families.Posted on Laura HelwigTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ingrid used her musical gifts and education to give my dad much peace while he was in hospice care. Her extensive knowledge of musical selections and her kind, compassionate demeanor make her an excellent music therapist. I highly recommend her services!Posted on Katherine RothTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Middleton Music Therapy. Ingrid was an invaluable therapist and partner to us throughout our family’s journey with dementia. She worked with our family, providing therapy to our family member who was living in memory care. For 5 years, Ingrid worked with him, singing, playing instruments, listening to songs that were customized to his life experiences. When he was unable to do a long session, she split his session into 2 shorter sessions. She is hospice trained and when our journey took that turn, she was with us. She provided excellent communication when we weren’t at sessions and included family members when we could be there. She shared videos and special moments. Our family member’s life was richer and his journey with dementia more pleasant because of the compassion, love of music and of working with people that Ingrid brought each week.Posted on Breanne STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ingrid and her team are fantastic and spent many hours improving the quality of life for my father. They even worked with him to write and record a special song for my child, which we will always cherish.Posted on Helen WagabazaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I cannot express enough gratitude for finding Middleton Music Therapy Services, and especially Ingrid, who is outstanding at cognitive therapy. As a caregiver for a loved one with dementia, my goal is to bring joy into their life and continue enriching their days. I want to give my loved one opportunities for moments of clarity, participation, give-and-take, and simply being present. The therapy Ingrid provides not only gives me some respite, but more importantly, it stirs something in my loved one that I do not see happening elsewhere. Her work truly brings meaning to our lives. I strongly encourage anyone caring for a loved one with dementia to consider this therapy. The online sessions are wonderful because they remove the stress of planning, travel, and disrupting routines. The format is ideal.Posted on Beth HavemanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Middleton Music Therapy Services (and particularly Ingrid) provides amazing service to their clients. Compassionate, flexible, tailored to clients needs for every session are adjectives that come to mind. My mother has Alzheimer’s and on days she was unable (or unwilling) to join Ingrid at the piano, Ingrid quickly adjusted by playing her guitar or singing to her. Truly amazing!Posted on Donna TroestlerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Middleton Music Therapy Services is wonderful to work with! My parent has dementia and Ingrid has been able to soothe them with music when they're anxious and enable them to still play music when they're able to.They also send audio clips of my parent playing when they do play along, too!Posted on Terri TaylorTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I came to Ingrid to feel comfortable singing in Church. With Ingrid’s guidance, I met my goal. Ingrid is an amazing professional. She provides individualized lesson plans, exercises and various music applications and other accessories to help with her client’s overall goal. In my case, for singing we focused a great deal on breathing exercises. Ingrid was incredibly helpful and l highly recommend her services. Thank you so much, Ingrid for your wonderful support!Posted on Charles LarsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
